our approach

NorthShore works with senior managment teams to craft and implement growth strategies that:

  • Robustly address the strategic environment, priorities and opportunities facing the business
  • Will attract capital and resources
  • Are designed around the company in a flexible manner to ensure management ownership, and leadership and efficiency

Our working style is:

  • Robust (fact based, insight driven)
  • Professional (top quality, international)
  • Commercial (pragmatic, implementable)
  • Tailored (reflects organisation, balanced)
  • Partnership driven (one goal, flexible style, facilitative, consensus oriented)

Frameworks we often find useful as part of a tailored projects:

  • Stepping Back the Future
    • Envision the potentially attractive futures, paint the elements to succeed, select preferred future, work back from the future in 2-3 phases for actions (medium-term, short-term)

  • Ladders of Growth
    • Understand growth 'staircase' journeys, identify platforms for growth, develop priorities over 3 horizons
  • Growth Platforms
    • Identify and test growth platforms arising from the company's skills, assets (brands, IP etc.) and relationships and the potential growth they could enable
  • Outside-in Report Card
    • Create a common factbase of external and internal performance - supports context/situation analysis at the start of a strategy development/planning process
